A powerful draw for those who get high on nature’s challenges, Deplar Farm lies on Iceland’s magical Troll Peninsula. “Tölting” on an Icelandic horse is among included experiences – while thrilling heli-sking is one of the resort’s ultimate extras, with mind-blowing long runs right down to the blue-green sea from summits over 1000m high, extreme couloirs and endless wide slopes with all from fresh powder to silken “corn” snow that outlasts the Alpine variety. Ski excursions can also throw in hot springs and lava fields.
